Description:
In the tragic opera, La Traviata, the heroine Violetta is known as the Lady of the Camellias. The camellia flower with its many varieties is the inspiration for this lovely statement pendant made of fine-silver metal clay. There will be a brief discuss on the many options for flower design, and students will be shown how to make lifelike petals and leaves in various sizes. The flowers will be assembled using a clever jig. Just like in nature, every flower is beautiful and no two are alike!
Students will Learn:
Learn to sculpt and mold metal clay to imitate elements of nature, and construction tricks to add dimension to your piece.
Project completion:
Project will be completed in class
Minimum Age Requirement:
At least 16 years old.
Supplies to Bring:
Optivisors, tweezers.
Materials in Kit:
20 g fine-silver metal clay; flower assembly jig; two pots of paste; polishing set; silicone leaf mold to take home; use of all tools, textures, and materials in class.
Limit:
One seat per person per class.
